Functions

Description of the centre: The BIOMA Institute (within the University of Navarra) seeks to be a benchmark as a research centre on biodiversity and the environment, promoting scientific excellence, innovation and collaboration between professionals from different disciplines to positively impact society and the conservation of the environment. Description of the offer: We are looking to incorporate a person to carry out research work at the Institute of Biodiversity and Environment BIOMA of the University of Navarra. We are looking for someone with a relevant research profile working in the research line on Biogeochemical Cycles and Environmental Health. Your work will be carried out in the research areas of Environmental Quality and Health (One Health) and Sustainable Agriculture and Agroecology, focused on the study of environmental pollution (atmospheric, chemical, water and soil) and its influence on human health and on agricultural and forest ecosystems. Description of the team/work group/project: The research group that the researcher will join has a solid track record in the study of biogeochemical processes and their relationship with environmental sustainability. Its lines of work cover the dynamics of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus cycles in agricultural and forest soils, as well as the interaction of these cycles with climate change and environmental pollution. The team actively collaborates with international research networks and works closely with the agricultural and forestry sector to design innovative strategies for environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation.

Requirements

Have completed a stay in a foreign centre of international reference.
