The Research group of Ignacio Melero at the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), in Pamplona Spain, is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a Postdoctoral position. Led by Professor Melero, the translational immunotherapy lab focuses on studying and developing new immunotherapeutic strategies for cancer. Our work is mainly translational, involving clinical research related to clinical trials and preclinical models in close collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry. The specific scope of research will be centered in crosspriming and crosspresentation of tumor-cell antigens. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing preclinical experiments using advanced immunotherapy products. The role will also involve coordinating research conducted with samples collected from clinical trials and analyzing and interpreting the resulting data. Duties to be performed: Under the guidance of a supervisor, the candidate will be responsible for the following tasks: – Manipulating, making decisions, and analyzing experiments in mouse models – Handling cellular immunology techniques (mouse and human) – Preparing, processing, and analyzing preclinical experiments involving immunotherapeutic treatments in oncology – Conducting RNA-seq assays, nanostring analysis, TCR clonality studies, and in vivo killing assays in collaboration with core facilities – Monitoring samples from clinical trials in oncology using flow cytometry assays, ELISAs, ELISPOT, RT-PCR, and multiplex tissue immunofluorescence The selected candidate will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in cancer immunotherapy within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Preferred qualifications: – Prior experience in the field. – Good CV with publications and conference presentations – Proficiency in English (minimum B2) – Knowledge of bioinformatics and ability to interact with our staff bioinformatician – Strong academic record
