Navarre earmarks more than one million euros for the second call of the WIT programme for attracting international research talent

25 de January de 2023

The Department of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation has announced the second edition of the WIT International PhD programme to attract talent to Navarra. With this new call, for which more than one million euros will be allocated, 8 international pre-doctoral researchers will be able to study a doctoral programme and write a doctoral thesis for three years at the Public University of Navarra or the University of Navarra.

These research projects must focus on one of the four key areas for the region, included in the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S4): automotive-mechatronics and advanced manufacturing, health, energy and artificial intelligence as a cross-cutting area.

In this way, the WIT programme aims to contribute to placing Navarra on the international map of science and technology, attracting international research talent to the region and connecting Navarra’s university system with top-level scientific entities.

The online submission of applications will remain open until 18 March 2023. Visit the WIT website for full details.
