The President of Navarre, María Chivite, has welcomed the declaration of regional interest of the 1,024 million euro investment project, promoted by the Department of Economic and Business Development at the request of Volkswagen Navarra, for the production of electric and connected vehicles to be carried out at its Landaben plant.
This investment is great news for the community as it ratifies Volkswagen’s commitment to its plant in Navarra, one of the best automotive plants in terms of both its data and the numerous awards it has received, a symbol of the quality of its processes and products.
It should be noted that this project falls within the strategic sectors of the S4 of Smart Specialisation of Navarra (electric vehicle and decarbonisation and digitalisation).
For the Government of Navarre, the project to integrate the Volkswagen Group’s production of electric and connected vehicles at the Navarre plant presents an opportunity for employment in the development of new skills and profiles linked to the manufacture of electric vehicles.
