The Auto Navarra Mission brings Navarrese and Mexican companies in the automotive sector closer together

19 de April de 2023

Navarre has recently received a visit from a delegation from Querétaro, with the aim of promoting the automotive sector and facilitating meetings between companies from the Autonomous Community of Navarre and Mexican companies belonging to the value chain of this sector. The visit is part of the reverse trade mission organised by the Government of Navarra, in collaboration with the Automotive Cluster of Querétaro and the Automotive Cluster Association of Navarra (ACAN).

The mission included two different agendas. On the one hand, the institutional agenda aimed at the representation of the Government of Querétaro, which had the opportunity to get to know the industrial network and the business environment of the automotive industry in Navarra through academic and cultural exchanges. The business agenda also included B2B meetings between companies from Navarra and Querétaro. In addition, both delegations were able to visit companies in Navarre, as well as the Automotive Technology Innovation Centre of Navarre (NAITEC) to learn first-hand about the automotive ecosystem in Navarre.

The automotive sector is clearly expanding in Mexico, especially in Querétaro and the Bajío region, and has emerged as the driving force behind the recovery of the Mexican economy in the post-pandemic period. This situation opens up a wide range of possibilities for companies from Navarre and Querétaro, and also for governments that can benefit from this situation to collaborate, share and develop joint or individual actions.

Relations with the Government of Querétaro and strategic entities began two years ago through different actions, including two commercial and institutional missions of the Government of Navarre to Mexico.
